Day 16 - Happy ending :)
Wrapping up HashX for the Hashnode Hackathon: long days, last-minute polish, and shipping the final release.
Day 15 - Just another Bug Fix Day :)
After significant UI changes, testing across multiple websites uncovered bugs that needed fixing to make HashX a perfect product.
Day 14 - And one more major bug :/
HashX is now under review on the Chrome Store, but a final round of testing surfaces yet another major bug to track down.
Day 13 - Yay! Extension submitted for review
Submitting HashX for Chrome Web Store review, navigating restrictions, manifest requirements, and the submission flow.
Day 12 - Work Work Work!!!
16+ hours of testing and polish on HashX. By the end of the day the extension finally felt seamless and ready to ship.
Day 11 - Completed Search User feature
Building HashX's final feature, a user search experience, taking 5-6 hours to design the logic and integrate it into the extension.
Day 10 - Hard work pays off!!
A satisfying day of replacing complex implementations with simpler ones. Sometimes the best fix is dropping the libraries you didn't need.
Day 9 - Struggles with Authentication
A Republic Day outing followed by a long evening fighting with Chrome extension authentication for HashX.
Day 8 - Conflict of interest!!
After 80% of HashX is built, rethinking the feed experience for authenticated users to make it feel personalized and useful.
Day 7 - Done building Heart of HashX
Finishing the entire feed section and blog layout for HashX. The core experience is finally in place with great UI polish.
Day 6 - Completed the Profile and login sections
Building HashX's logout flow plus profile and login layouts, with a deep dive into Hashnode's GraphQL API integrations.
Day 5 - Getting Started with the Authentication
With HashX's basic architecture in place, beginning the work of integrating Hashnode authentication into the Chrome extension.
Day 4 - Setting up the architecture
A hectic day setting up the entire HashX extension architecture, scaffolding the foundation for everything to come.
Day 3 - Improving the scope of work
Between a DevRel meetup and the ReactPlay Bangalore meetup, refining the scope of HashX so the build is realistic and shippable.
